RESOLUTION NO. 4921
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF SAFETY STRIPING
SERVICE INC. FOR PAVEMENT STRIPING 1982-1983,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 450 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF
SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 450 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 4915, and sealed bids were opened on June 15,
1982; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Community
Services Department and Victor H. Vaits, Deputy Director of
Community Service~has reported to the City Council under the
date of June 21, 1982, recommending that the contract for
paving striping 1982-1983 be executed with Safety Striping
Service Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum of Twenty-One
Thousand Four Hundred Eight Dollars and Sixty-Nine Cents
($21,408.69), being the lowest responsible bid meeting the
contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 450, in "accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Victor H. Vaits, Deputy Director of Community Services,
and authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract on behalf of
the City.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
1 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
2 the receipt of an executed contract from Safety Striping Service
3 Inc. accompanied by all requ~red bonds and certificates.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage,of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
