RESOLUTION NO. 4922
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 451 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR EXCHANGE AVENUE STORM DRAIN, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 451 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON
7 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 451 for Exchange Avenue storm
9 drain; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 deterrninedthat it is in the best interests of the City of
12 Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with
13 applicable State law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 451 is hereby approved by the
17 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
20 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 451.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
23 proposals or bids for Exchange Avenue storm drain, in accordance
24 with Contract No. 451 and in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circu1a-
26 tion printed, published, or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
27 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
28 the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
1 City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and
2 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
3 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
4 City Hall of the City of Vernon located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
5 in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
8 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
9 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
12 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
13 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 20th day
14 of July, 1982, and in accordance with Contract No. 451 approved
15 by said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk o~ the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
19 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 1982.
