RESOLUTION NO. 4924
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF CARMENITA FORD
TRUCK SALES, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO NEW
DUMP TRUCKS, IN WHICH ONE WILL BE USED IN THE
COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND ONE WILL BE
USED IN THE WATER DEPARTMENT
7 WHEREAS, on May 18, 1982, the City Council of the
8 City of Vernon approved Resolution No. 4907 providing for the
9 purchase of ~wo new dump trucks, in which one will be used in
10 the Community Services Department and one will be used in the
11 Water Department; and
12 WHEREAS, Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent, has
13 recommended under the date of July 1, 1982, that said dump trucks
14 be purchased from Carmenita Ford Truck Sales, Inc. of Santa Fe
15 Springs for the sum of Fifty-Two Thousand One Hundred Seventy-
16 Six Dollars and No Cents ($52,176.00), being the lowest
17 responsible bid meeting the specifications indicated in Quotation
18 No. 1185; and
19 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
20 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
21 that a purchase order be issued for the purchase of the two new
22 dump trucks from Carmenita Ford Truck Sales, Inc.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
24 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby approves the issuance of a purchase order in accordance
27 with the recommendation of Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent,
28 for the purchase of two new dump trucks from Carmenita Ford

1 Truck Sales, Inc. of Santa Fe Springs at a total cost of
2 Fifty-Two Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars and No Cents
3 ($52,176.00) and all other bids are hereby rejected.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
