RESOLUTION NO. 4925
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON PAYING TRIBUTE TO DAVID KRAMER, THE
1982 NOBLE OF THE YEAR OF WESTWOOD SHRINE CLUB
5 WHEREAS, David Kramer founded The Real McCoy Meat
6 Company in 1953 and has been its President and owner for nearly
7 30 years; and
8 WHEREAS, The Real McCoy Meat Company is located at
9 3386 E. Vernon Avenue in the City of Vernon and is considered
10 to be the finest and largest cured and smoked beef processing
11 plant in the western states; and
12 WHEREAS, the successful operation of local government
13 depends upon the concerned leadership of civic minded persons;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, nowhere has such community awareness been more
16 evident than with David Kramer who for the past 30 years has been
17 supportive of many civic and nonprofit organizations such as
18 the Eastside Boys Club, the Los Angeles Police Department, the
19 City of Hope and Gateways Hospital; he has been a member and
20 active participant in the Guardians and the Vernon and Los
21 Angeles Chambers of Commerce; and
22 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon wishes to add its voice to
23 the many who are honoring David Kramer not only as the 1982 Noble
24 of the Year of the Westwood Shrine Club but also for his lifetime
25 of charitable endeavors; and
26 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 individually, collectively and on behalf of the people of the
28 City of Vernon wish to pay tribute and extend their appreciation
1 to David Kramer for his distinguished service to the City of
2 Vernon, its inhabitants, and the industry of the City of Vernon;
3 and
4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon also
5 wish to invite public notice to Mr. Kramer's contributions and
6 achievements and to extend congratulations to him, his wife, r-1ary
7 his two daughters, Sandy and Nancy, and to his two grandchildren
8 on his being chosen the 1982 Noble of the Year of the Westwood
9 Shrine Club.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
11 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
13 takes this opportunity to extend its appreciation to David Kramer
14 for his distinguished service to the needs of the Vernon
15 community and to offer its sincere congratulations on behalf of
16 the City of Vernon as well as the entire Vernon community for
17 being chosen the 1982 Noble of the Year of the Westwood Shrine
18 Club and to extend congratulations to his wife, Mary, his two
19 daughters, Sandy and Nancy, and to his two grandchildren.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
22 certified copy thereof to DAVID KRAMER and that thereupon and
23 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
