RESOLUTION NO. 4929
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF CLARK
I iCONTRACTING FOR EXCHANGE AVENUE STORM DRAIN
4 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 451 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
5 OF SAID CONTRACT
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 451 of the City of Vernon was
7 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
8 Resolution No. 4922, and sealed bids were opened on July 20, 1982;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson,
11 Director of Community Services Department, who has reported to
12 the City Council under the date of July 27, 1982, recommending
13 that the contract for Exchange Avenue Storm Drain be executed
14 with Clark Contracting on the basis of its bid in the sum of
15 One Hundred Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and No
16 Cents ($102,669.00), being the lowest responsible bid meeting the
17 contract requirements.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
19 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
21 hereby award Contract No. 451, in accordance with the recommenda-
22 tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community Services
23 Department, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract on
24 behalf of the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
26 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
27 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
28 the receipt of an executed contract from Clark Contracting
1 accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
3 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
4 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
5 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1982.
