RESOLUTION NO. 4930
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON SOTO STREET
AND SANTA FE AVENUE IMPROVEMENT, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 448 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, VERNON PAVING COMPANY was awarded the contract
for work on Soto Street and Santa Fe Avenue Improvement pursuant
to Contract No. 448 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
Services I has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
on August 10, 1982, indicating that said work has been completed
and recommending that the work be accepted and payment made to
the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work on Soto Street and Santa Fe
16 Avenue Improvement, pursuant to Contract No. 448, is hereby

17 approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is One
19 Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-One Dollars and
20 Nine Cents ($129,521.09). That there is now due to the
21 Contractor a final partial payment totaling Two Thousand Six
22 Hundred Eighty-Three Dollars and Eighty Cents ($2,683.80), which
23 should be paid at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%)
24 of the total Contract amount or the sum of Twelve Thousand Nine
25 Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars and Eleven Cents ($12,952.11) is
26 payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
27 Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
28 directs payment of said sums as set forth to VERNON PAVING

1 COMPANY and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of
2 Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1982.
