RESOLUTION NO. 4942
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 454 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
4 OR BIDS FOR WATER MAIN LINING FOR EXCHANGE
AVENUE AND LOMA VISTA AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
5 WITH CONTRACT NO. 454 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 454 for Water Main Lining
8 for Exchange Avenue and Loma Vista Avenue; and
9 WHEREAS I the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
11 Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with
12 applicable State law.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 454 is hereby approved by the
16 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 454.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
22 proposals or bids for Water Main Lining for Exchange Avenue and
23 Loma Vista Avenue, in accordance with Contract No. 454 and in
24 accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
26 tion printed, published, or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
27 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
28 the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
1 City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
2 Santa' Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
3 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
4 City Hall of the City of Vernon located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
5 in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
8 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
9 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
12 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
13 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 21st day
14 of September, 1982, and in accordance with Contract No. 454
15 approved by said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
19 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1982.
