RESOLUTION NO. 4948
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF AMERON, INC.
FOR WATER MAIN LINING FOR EXCHANGE AVENUE
AND LO~~ VISTA AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 454 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
7 WHEREAS, Contract No. 454 of the City of Vernon was
8 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
9 Resolution No. 4942, and sealed bids were opened on September 21,
10 1982; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Lewis R. Adams,
12 Director of Water and Power, who has reported to the City Council
13 under the date of September 27, 1982, recommending that the
14 contract for Water Main Lining for Exchange Avenue and Loma Vista
15 Avenue be executed with Ameron, Inc. on the basis of its bid
16 in the sum of Fifty Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars
17 and Thirty Cents ($50,493.30), being the lowest responsible bid
18 meeting the contract requirements.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
20 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
22 hereby award Contract No. 454, in accordance with the
23 recommendation of Lewis R. Adams, Director of Water and Power,
24 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract on behalf of
25 the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
27 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
28 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon

1 the receipt of an executed contract from Ameron, Inc. accompanied
2 by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 1982..
