RESOLUTION NO. 4951
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND CAS
ASSOCIATES, INC. PROVIDING FOR SELF-
INSURED CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon on
8 March 26, 1982, by Resolution No. 4890, approved the execution
9 of a three-month trial agreement with CAS Associates, Inc.; and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and CAS Associates, Inc.
11 desire to enter into an agreement to provide for self-insured
12 claims administration services commencing July I, 1982 and
13 terminating on June 30, 1983; and
14 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
15 Clerk, has recommended to the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 that said Agreement be approved.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 hereby approves the Agreement by and between the City of Vernon
21 and CAS Associates, Inc., a copy of which has been presented to
22 the City Council concurrently with this Resolution and the City
23 Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received and filed
24 by the City Clerk.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for, and
27 on behalf of, the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October, 1982.
