RESOLUTION NO. 4953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON THE EXCHANGE
AVENUE STORM DRAIN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 451 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREA , CLARK CONTRACTING was awarded the contract for
7 work on the Ex hange Avenue Storm Drain pursuant to Contract No.
S 451 of the City of Vernon; and
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community Services
10 has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
11 October 27, 1982, indicating that said work has been completed
12 and recommending that the work be accepted and payment be made
13 to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~y THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON:

SECTION 1: That the work on the Exchange Avenue Storm
17 Drain, pursuant to Contract No. 451, is hereby approved by the
18 City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is One Hundred
20 Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and No Cents
21 ($102,669.00). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
22 partial payment totaling Ninety-Two Thousand Four Hundred Two
23 Dollars and Ten Cents ($92,402.10), which should be paid at this
24 time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total Contract
25 amount or the sum of Ten Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars
26 and Ninety Cents ($10,266.90) is payable thirty-five (35) days
27 after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of
28 the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set

forth to CLARK CONTRACTING and instructs the City Clerk to file
a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November, 1982.
