RESOLUTION NO. 4954
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VII, EXHIBIT "F",
OF RESOLUTION NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION
OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON TO
BE EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 1982
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4918 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 24, 1982, to be effective
on July 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No.
4918 provides for the position and salary scale of City
Administrator/City Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the performance of the City Administrator/City Clerk
on his anniversary date for the purposes of considering a merit
16 increase; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 intends to establish a new salary scale to provide for merit
19 increases for the position of City Administrator/City Clerk in
20 the City Administrator/City Clerk Department and to provide for
21 an increase in life insurance benefits as set forth herein.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
26 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective November 1, 1982, Schedule
28 VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No. 4918, shall be amended by
1 establishing the following salary scale for the position of
2 City Administrator/City Clerk:
3 City Administrator/City Clerk
$ 6,703.00
per month

SECTION 3: That Schedule VII, Exhibit "F" of
5 Resolution No. 4918 on page 38 shall be amended to include that
6 the City Administrator/City Clerk shall be provided an increase
7 in life insurance to equal the sum of $50,000.00.

SECTION 4: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
9 4918 shall remain in full force and effect and that the provisions
10 in Resolution No. 4918, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", not
11 consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
12 repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
14 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
15 following said certification this Resolution shall be in full
16 force and effect.
17 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November, 1982.
