RESOLUTION NO. 4957
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II,
EXHIBIT "A", OF RESOLUTION NO. 4918 FIXING
THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY OF VERNON TO BE EFFECTIVE
DECEMBER 12, 1982
7 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4918 was adopted by the City
8 Council of the City of Vernon on June 24, 1982, to be effective
9 on July 1, 1982; and
10 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4918 was previously amended by
11 Resolution No. 4954 adopted by the City Council of the City
12 of Vernon on November 2, 1982, to be effective on November 1,
13 1982; and
14 WHEREAS, Schedule II, Exhibit "A", of said Resolution
15 No. 4918 provides for the salary scale of the Community Services
16 Department of the City of Vernon; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
18 to establish a new classification entitled "Apprentice Mechanic"
19 in the Community Services Department due to the increased work
20 load in said Department and to establish a salary scale for said
21 classification in the Community Services Department as set
22 forth herein pursuant to the recommendation of Bruce V.
23 Na1kenhorst, City AdministratorlCity Clerk dated November 29,
24 1982.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
26 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-

1 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective December 12, 1982, Schedule
3 II, Exhibit "A" of Resolution No. 4918 shall be amended to
4 establish the position of "Apprentice Mechanic" w'ith the
5 following salary scale for said position:

11 4918 shall remain in full force and effect and that the
SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
12 provisions in Resolution No. 4918, Schedule II, Exhibit "A",
13 not consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are

14 hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
16 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
17 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
18 and effect.
