RESOLUTION NO. 4958
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON WATER MAIN
LINING (EXCHANGE AVENUE AND LOMA VISTA AVENUE)
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 454 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
vlliEREAS, AMERON, INC. (Pipe Lining Division) was
awarded the contract for work on the Water Main Lining (Exchange
Avenue and Loma Vista Avenue) pursuant to Contract No. 454 of
the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Lewis R. Adams, Director of Water and Power,
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
November 29, 1982, indicating that said work has been completed
and recommending that the work be accepted and payment be made
to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work on the Water Main Lining'
18 (Exchange Avenue and Loma Vista Avenue), pursuant to Contract
19 No. 454, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Forty-
21 Four Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars and Twelve Cents
22 ($44 ,.8S7 .42) . That there is now due to the Contractor a final
23 partial payment totaling Forty Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-
24 Eight Dollars and Sixty-Eight Cents ($40,398.68), which should
25 be paid at this time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the
26 total Contract amount or the sum of Four Thousand Four Hundred
27 Eighty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents ($4,488.74) is
28 payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this

1 Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
2 directs payment of said sums as set forth to AMERON, INC.
3 (Pipe Lining Division) and instructs the City Clerk to file a
4 Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
7 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of December, 1982.
