RESOLUTION NO. 4959
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A ASPLUNDH
WHISPER CHIPPER AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CHIPPER
SHELL FOR USE IN THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE
FOR BIDS FOR SAID ITEMS
7 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City AdministratorlCity
8 Clerk, by letter dated December 16, 1982, has recommended to the
9 City Council that the request of the Community Services
10 Department to purchase a Asp1undh Whisper Chipper and to
11 construct a chipper shell be approved and that the Purchasing
12 Agent be authorized to advertise for bids respecting said
13 Chipper; and
14 ~mEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
15 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
16 to purchase said items.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 hereby approves the purchase of a Asp1undh Whisper Chipper and
21 construction of a chipper shell for use in the Community Services
22 Department.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
24 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
25 respecting said Asp1undh Whisper Chipper and construction of
26 a chipper shell.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1982.
