RESOLUTION NO. 4961
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND BARBARA BATEMAN FOR LOBBYING SERVICES
6 WHEREAS, Daniel J. Creedon, Esq., of the law firm of
7 Hession, Creedon, Hamlin, Kelly Hanson & Williams, was a
S registered lobbyist who maintained offices in San Mateo and
9 Sacramento and served the City of Vernon as a registered lobbyist
10 for many years until his recent demise; and
11 WHEREAS, Barbara Bateman was associated with Mr. Creedon
12 in his Sacramento office and assisted Mr. Creedon in providing
13 services to the City of Vernon; and
14 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon continues to require lobbying
15 services in Sacramento; and
16 WHEREAS, Ms. Bateman is willing to undertake the
17 representation of the City's interests as a registered lobbyist.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
22 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
24 hereby approves the Agreement, a copy of which has been presented
25 to the City Council concurrently with this Resolution and the
26 City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received and
27 filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
1 hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for, and
2 on behalf of, the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
4 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
5 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
6 effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1982.
