RESOLUTION NO. 4962
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF VERNON AVENUE
AND BANDINI BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 453 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY was awarded
the contract for work of Vernon Avenue and Bandini Boulevard
Improvement pursuant to Contract No. 453 of the City of Vernon;
and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Deputy Director of the
Community Services Department, has reported to the City Council
of the City of Vernon on December 20, 1982, indicating that said
work has been completed and recommending that the work be
accepted and payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with
the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work of Vernon Avenue and Bandini
18 Boulevard Improvement pursuant to Contract No. 453 is hereby
19 approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is One Hundred
21 One Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and Nine Cents
22 ($101,227.09). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
23 partial payment totaling Ninety-One Thousand One Hundred Four
24 Dollars and Thirty-Eight Cents ($91,104.38), which should be paid
25 at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
26 contract amount or the sum of Ten Thousand One Hundred Twenty-
27 Two Dollars and Seventy-One Cents ($10,122.71) is payable thirty-
28 five (35) days after the adoption of this Resolution and the City
.
1 Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said
2 sums as set forth to SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY and
3 instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with
4 the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
7 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 1983.
