RESOLUTION NO. 4963
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE NEW
PICK-UP TRUCK FOR USE IN THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
SAID TRUCK
7 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City Administrator/City
8 Clerk, by letter dated December 29, 1982, has recommended to
9 the City Council that the request of the Community Services
10 Department to purchase one new 1983 Pick-Up Truck be approved and
11 that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to advertise for bids
12 respecting said truck; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
14 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
15 to purchase said truck.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 hereby approves the purchase of one new 1983 Pick-Up Truck for
20 use in the Community Services Department.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
23 respecting a 1983 Pick-Up Truck.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 1983.
