RESOLUTION NO. 4964
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PROPERTY FROM THE VERNON LIGHT AND POWER
DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31 OF THE
VERNON CITY CODE
vJHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City Administrator/City
Clerk, by letter dated December 29, 1982, has recommended to the
City Council of the City of Vernon that the property described
in the Report of Surplus Property which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof as Exhibit "A" is surplus to the needs of the
Vernon Light and Power Department; and
WHEREAS, Frank Murillo, Purchasing Agent, has recommended
that the surplus property described in the attached Exhibit "A"
be disposed of pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
that the property described in the attached Exhibit "A" from the
Vernon Light and Power Department be sold as surplus pursuant to
20 . Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
22 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOl.JS:

SECTION 1: That in accordance with Section 37350 of the
24 Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of
25 the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the property
26 described in the attached Exhibit "A" is surplus to the needs of
27 the Vernon Light and Power Department .

SECTION 2: That the City AdministratorlCity Clerk is

hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of the
Vernon City Code for the sale of the property described in the
attached Exhibit "A" as surplus property.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 1983.
