RESOLUTION NO. 4970
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING ROBERT AMOS FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, ROBERT AMOS has been employed by the City of
6 Vernon since February 1, 1963; and
7 WHEREAS, ROBERT AMOS will retire from the service of the
8 City of Vernon on February 2, 1983; and
9 WHEREAS, ROBERT AMOS has faithfully served as an employee
10 of the City of Vernon for approximately 20 years and has served
11 as a Sergeant in the Vernon Police Department since April I, 1972,
12 and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 takes this opportunity to commend ROBERT AMOS for his many years
17 of devoted service to the City of Vernon. .

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 wishes ROBERT AMOS continued success in whatever endeavors he may
20 undertake.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a certified
23 copy thereof to ROBERT AMOS and that thereupon and thereafter the
24 same shall be in full force and effect.
25 APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 1st day of February, 1983.
