RESOLUTION NO. 4971
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF ,LEON IS ,
BOULEVARD RECONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 442 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, VERNON PAVING COMPANY was awarded the contract
7 for work of Leonis Boulevard Reconstruction pursuant to
8 Contract No. 442 of the City of Vernon; and
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
10 Services, has reported to the City Council of,the City of Vernon
lion January 27, 1983, indicating that said work has been
12 completed and recommending that the work be accepted and payment
13 be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work of Leonis Boulevard
17 Reconstruction pursuant to Contract No. 442 is hereby approved
18 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount, including
20 Extra Work Orders and Change Orders, is Four Hundred Forty-Nine
21 Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and Fifty-Five Cents
22 ($449,477.55). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
23 partial payment of Nine Thousand Five Hundred Three Dollars and
24 Fifty-Two Cents (9,503.52), less One Thousand Nine Hundred Sixtee
25 Dollars and Fifty-Two Cents ($1,916.52) due to legal stop notice,
26 for a total final partial payment of Seven Thousand Five Hundred
27 Eighty-Seven Dollars and No Cents ($7,587.00), which should be
28 paid at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the tota

1 contract amount or the sum of Forty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred
2 Forty-Seven Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($44,947.75) is
3 payable thirty--five (35) days after the adoption of this
4 Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
5 directs payment of said sums as set forth to VERNON PAVING
6 COMPANY and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of
7 Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
9 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
10 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1983.
