RESOLUTION NO. 4973
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF ROSEN'S ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SURPLUS. PROPERTY
FROM THE VERNON LIGHT AND POWER DEPARTMENT
IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID #83-01 AND APPROVING
THE EXECUTION OF ANY DOCUMENTS IN RELATION
THERETO
7 WHEREAS, the sale of the surplus property from the
8 Vernon Light and Power Department pursuant to Section 2.31 of
9 the Vernon City Code was approved by the City Council of the
10 City of Vernon pursuant to Resolution No. 4964 and sealed bids
11 were opened on February 1, 1983; and
12 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Purchasing Agent
13 and in reliance upon his recommendation Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst,
14 City Administrator ICity Clerk, has reported to the City Council'
15 under the date of February .10 ~ 1983, recommending that the
16 surplus property from the Vernon Light and Power Department be
17 sold to Rosen' sElectrica1 Equipment on the basis of its bid in
18 the sum of Two Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and No
19 Cents ($2,369.00), being the highest responsible bid meeting
20 the purchase specification requirements.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
24 hereby sell the surplus property from the Vernon Light and Power
25 Department to Rosen's Electrical Equipment in accordance with the
26 recommendation of Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City Administrator ICity
27 Clerk, and authorizes the Mayor to execute any documents in
28 relation thereto.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
2 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
3 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
5 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1983.
