RESOLUTION NO. 4979
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON RATIFYING THE APPROVAL AND EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT BY. AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY FOR THE
MODIFICATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT WASHINGTON-
BOULEVARD AND HOBART YARD ROAD
WHEREAS, Union Pacific Railroad Company has requested
of Vernon to approve the construction of a driveway
access to its property at the location of the intersection of
Washington~Boulevard and Hobart Yard Road; and
WHEREAS, the construction of a driveway access at. said
the modification and aUglIlentation of
traffic signal devices and appurtenant e'quipment; and
HHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
Clerk by le,tter dated February 10, 1983 to the City Council
recommended approval of said agreement and requ~sted authorization
17 for the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said agreement; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council approved said agreement and
authorized the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said agreement
on February 15, 1983.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
ratifys the approval of the agreement, a copy of which was
presented.to the City Council on February 15, 1983 and the City

1 Council hereby orders said agreement to be received and filed
2 by,the City Clerk.
S SECTION 3: That the.City Council of the CitY' of Vernon
4 hereby ratifies the authorization of the Mayor and the City Clerk
5 to execute said agreement for, and on b>eha1f of, the City Council
60f the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4; The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
9 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of March, 1983.
