RESOLUTION NO. 4985
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING KENNETH ELLIS FOR HIS
MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, KENNETH ELLIS has been employed by the City of
Vernon since December 16, 1960; and
WHEREAS, KENNETH ELLIS will retire from the service
of the City of Vernon on. April 3, 1983; and
WHEREAS, KENNETH ELLIS has faithfully served as a
fire engineer in the Vernon Fire Department for approximately
22 years and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 takes this opportunity to commend KENNETH ELLIS for his many
16 years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 wishes KENNETH ELLIS continued success in whatever endeavors he
19 may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
22 certified copy thereof to KENNETH ELLIS and that thereupon and
23 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
