RESOLUTION NO. 4986
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A FRONT
DOOR AT FIRE STATION NO. 2 AND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR SAID DOOR
6 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
7 Clerk, by letter dated March 31, 1983, has recommended to the
8 City Council that the front door to Fire Station No 2 be replaced
9 because said door is presently inoperative and the repair of said
10 door is not economically feasible, in accordance with the
11 recommendation of Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent, and has
12 recommended that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to advertise
13 for bids respecting the purchase of said door; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
15 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
16 to replace said door.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
21 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby approves the purchase of a front door at Fire Station No.
24 2 to replace the presently inoperative door.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
27 respecting the purchase of said front door at Fire Station No.
28 2.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
3 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 1983.
