RESOLUTION NO. 4997
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTHERN CALI-
FORNIA OVERHEAD DOOR CO., INC. FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A FRONT DOOR AT FIRE STATION NO. 2 IN
ACCORDANCE WITH BID #1200 AND APPROVING THE
EXECUTION OF ANY DOCUMENTS IN RELATION THERETO
7 WHEREAS, the purchase of a front door at Fire Station
8 No. 2 to replace the presently inoperative door was approved by
9 the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to Resolution No.
10 4986 and sealed bids were opened on May 3, 1983; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Purchasing Agent
12 and in reliance upon his reconnnendation, Bruce V. Malkenhorst,
13 City Administrator/City Clerk has reported to the City Council
14 by letter dated May 11, 1983, recommending that the front door
15 at Fire Station No. 2 be purchased from Southern California
16 Overhead Door Co., Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum"of
17 Nine Thousand ~vo Hundred Forty-Four Dollars and No Cents
18 ($9,244.00), being the lowest responsible bid meeting the
19 purchase specification requirements.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
21 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
23 hereby approve the purchase of said front door at Fire Station
24 No.2, Bid #1200, in accordance with the recommendation of Bruce
25 V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City Clerk, and authorizes
26 the Mayor to execute any documents in relation thereto.
27 SECTION 2: All other bids are hereby rejected.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, ,1983.
