P~SOLUTION NO. 5000
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND CAS ASSOCIATES, INC. PROVIDING FOR SELF-
INSURED CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon by
7 Resolution No. 4951 adopted on October 26, 1982, approved the
8 execution of an agreement to provide for self-insured claims
9 administration services with CAS Associates, Inc. commencing
10 July 1, 1982 and terminating on June 30, 1983; and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and CAS Associates ~'. Inc._
12 desire to enter into an agreement to providefoxnself":.insured
13 claims administration services commencing July 1, 1983 and
14 terminating on June 30, 1984; and
15 t~EREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
16 Clerk has recommended to the City Council by letter dated May 12,
17 1983, that said Agreement be approved.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
19 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 hereby approves the Agreement by and between the City of Vernon
22 and CAS Associates, Inc., a copy of which has been presented to
23 the City Council concurrently with this Resolution and the City
24 Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received and filed
25 by the City Clerk.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for, and
28 on behalf of, the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
