RESOLUTION NO. 5001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF MISCELLANEOUS
SURPLUS PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT "A" PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31 OF THE
VERNON CITY CODE
6 vffiEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City Administrator/City
7 Clerk, by letter dated May 16, 1983, recommended to the Finance
8 Committee that the property described in Exhibit "A" which is
9 attached hereto and made a part hereof is surplus to the needs
10 of the City of Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS, Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent, has
12 recommended that the miscellaneous surplus property described in
13 the attached Exhibit "A" be disposed of pursuant to Section 2.31
14 of the Vernon City Code; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
16 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
17 that the property described in the attached Exhibit "A" be sold
18 as surplus pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That in accordance with Section 37350 of the
22 Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of
23 the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the property
24 described in the attached Exhibit "A" is surplus to the needs of
25 the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Administrator/City Clerk is
27 hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of the

1 Vernon City Code for the sale of the property described in the
2 attached Exhibit "A" as surplus property.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1983.
