RESOLUTION NO. 5015
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF MAINTENANCE
MANAGEMENT CORPORATION FOR VERNON CITY HALL
JANITORIAL SERVICES FROM JULY 1, 1983 TO
JUNE 30, 1984 IN ACCORDANCE WITH JANITORIAL
CONTRACT NO. 006 AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Janitorial Contract No. 006 for Vernon City
Hall Janitorial Services from July 1, 1983 to June 30, 1984 was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4999, and sealed bids were opened on June 7,
1983; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo, the
Purchasing Agent, who recommended that Janitorial Contract No.
006 be executed with Maintenance Management Corporation on the
basis of its bid in the sum of Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars and No Cents ($17,700.00) per year, being the lowest
responsible bid meeting the contract requirements; and
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City AdministratorlCity
Clerk, by letter dated June 21, 1983, has recommended to the
City Council that said Janitorial Contract No. 006 be awarded
to Maintenance Management Corporation in accordance with the
recommendation of Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
26 hereby award Janitorial Contract No. 006 in accordance with the
27 recommendation of Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City AdministratorlCity
28 Clerk, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on
1 behalf of the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
3 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
4 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids' upon
5 the receipt of an executed contract from Maintenance Management
6 Corporation, accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
9 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
