RESOLUTION NO. 5025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "A",
AND SCHEDULE VII, EXHIBIT "F", OF RESOLUTION
NO. 5018 FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5018 was adopted by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1983; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
9 it necessary to amend Schedule II, Exhibit "A", and Schedule VII,
10 Exhibit "F" of Resolution No. 5018 in accordance with the
11 recommendation of Bruce V. Halkenhorst, City Administrator/Gity
12 Clerk.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-
17 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the attached Schedule II, Exhibit "A",
19 and Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", are hereby incorporated by this
20 reference and made a part hereof as though fully set forth at
21 length and are hereby approved and adopted as the compensation
22 of certain employees of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
24 5018 shall remain in full force and effect and that the
25 provisions in Resolution No. 5018, Schedule II, Exhibit "A" and
26 Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", not consistent with or in conflict
27 with this Resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.

(Continued)
Each Civil Engineer must possess a valid Certificate of
Registration as a Civil Engineer, which document is issued by
the California State Board for Civil and Professional Engineers.
In addition to said salaries, the following individuals
serving in the following classification shall receive, when each
uses his own motor vehicle .in the service of the City, an
additional sum per 'month as indicated:

The City shall not be responsible for repairs or any
additional costs for upkeep, fuel, lubrication, replacement in

except the Director of Community Services, Deputy Director of

Director of Environmental Health, who are required to work hours
in addition to those regularly established for their respective
job classifications shall be paid for such additional work at
their assigned hourly rate.
The City AdministratorlCity Clerk shall be provided a
vehicle and the City shall pay all expenses of said operation
including cost of upkeep, fuel, lubrication, insurance, and other
reasonable expenses, in addit:i.on to his salary provided for
herein.
In addition to the benefits provided for herein, the
City Admi~istrator/City Clerk shall be provided an increase in
life insurance to equal the sum of $50,000.00 and shall be
granted eight (8) days of executive leave to be used prior to
June 30, 1984.
