RESOLUTION NO. 5037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A CUSHMAN
MOTOR VEHICLE FOR USE IN THE COMMUNITY SERVICES
DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT
TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SAID VEHICLE
6 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Director of Finance,.
7 on August 8, 1983, recommended that authority be granted to the
8 Purchasing Agent to purchase a Cushman motor vehicle for use
9 in the Community Services Department; and
10 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on August 8, 1983, made
11 a recommendation to the City Council that the Purchasing Agent
12 be granted the authority to purchase said Cushman motor vehicle;
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
15 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
16 to purchase said Cushman motor vehicle.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 hereby approves the purchase of a Cushman motor vehicle for use
21 in the Community Services Department.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
24 respecting the 'purchase of said Cushman motor vehicle.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of August, 1983.
