RESOLUTION NO. 5052
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL
INSTALLATION AT BOYLE AVENUE AND LEONIS
BOULEVARD; ALCOA AVENUE AND FRUITLAND AVENUE;
DOWNEY ROAD AND VERNON AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 456 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
7 WHEREAS, PHOENIX ELECTRICAL SERVICE COMPANY, INC. was
8 awarded the Contract for work of traffic signal installation at
9 Boyle Avenue and Leonis Boulevard; Alcoa Avenue and Fruitland
10 Avenue; Downey Road and Vernon Avenue, pursuant to Contract No.
11 456 of the City of Vernon; and
12 WHEREAS, Victor Vaits, Director of Community Services,
13 has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
14 October 13, 1983, indicating that said work has been completed
15 and recommending that the work be accepted and payment be made
16 to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work of traffic signal installation
20 at Boyle Avenue and Leonis Boulevard; Alcoa Avenue and Fruitland
21 Avenue; Downey Road and Vernon Avenue, pursuant to Contract No.
22 456, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Twenty-
24 Eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00). That there is now due to
25 the Contractor a final partial payment totaling Twenty-Five
26 Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($25,200.00), which should be paid
27 at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
28 Contract amount, or the sum of Two Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars
1 ($2,800.00), is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption
2 of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon
3 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to PHOENIX
4 ELECTRICAL SERVICE COMPANY, INC. and instructs the City Clerk to
5 file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
7 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
8 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 1983.
