RESOLUTION NO. 5056
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VII, EXHIBIT "F",
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5018 FIXING THE COMPENSATION
OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5018 was adopted by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1983, to be effective
8 on July 1, 1983; and
9 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5018 was previously amended by
10 Resolution No. 5025 adopted by the City Council of the City of
11 Vernon on July 19, 1983; and
12 WHEREAS, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No.
13 5018 provides for the position and salary scale of City
14 Administrator/City Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
15 Department; and
16 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
17 considered the performance of the City Administrator/City Clerk
18 on his annual review date for the purposes of considering a merit
19 increase; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
21 to establish a new salary scale to provide for a merit increase
22 for the position of City Administrator/City Clerk in the City
23 Administrator/City Clerk Department and to provide for an
24 increase in life insurance benefits as set forth herein.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
26 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein
1 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective October 30, 1983, Schedule
3 VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No. 5018, shall be amended by
4 establishing the following salary scale for the position of
5 City Administrator/City Clerk:

City Administrator/City Clerk
$ 7,333.00 per month
SECTION 3: That Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of
8 Resolution No. 5018, shall be amended to provide for an increase
9 in life insurance benefits for the position of City Administrator
10 City Clerk as follows:
11 The City Administrator/City Clerk shall be provided an
12 increase in life insurance to equal the sum of $100,000.00.

SECTION 4: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
14 5018 shall remain in full force and effect and that the
15 provisions in Resolution No. 5018, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F",
16 not consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are
17 hereby repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
20 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
21 effect.
