RESOLUTION NO. 5060
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VI, EXHIBIT "E", OF
RESOLUTION NO. 5018 FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5018 was adopted by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1983, to be effective
7 on July 1, 1983; and
8 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5018 was previously amended by
9 Resolution No. 5025. adopted by the City Council of the City of .
10 Vernon on July 19, 1983 and Resolution No. 5056 adopted by the
11 City Council on October 18, 1983; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
13 it necessary to amend Schedule VI, Exhibit "E", to provide for
14 changing the title of "Parking Enforcement Officer" to "Civilian
15 Traffic Officer" and to provide for a uniform allowance for said
16 Civilian Traffic Officer in accordance with the recommendation
17 of Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City Clerk dated
18 October 31, 1983.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-
23 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That Schedule VI, Exhibit "E", of Resolution
25 No. 5018 shall be amended to provide that the title of "Parking
26 Enforcement Officer" is hereby changed to "Civilian Traffic
27 Officer" and that a uniform allowance for Civilian Traffic
28 Officer is hereby established as follows:

Vernon will pay to each Civilian Traffic Officer
who has completed his first year of service and
is required by the Vernon Police Department to
own and maintain a uniform and who is on the
active payroll of the Vernon Police Department
the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00)
for the 1983-1984 fiscal year of Vernon for
the purchase of such clothing and related
equipment on his anniversary date.
SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
11 SOla shall remain in full force and effect and that the
12 provisions in Resolution No. 5018, Schedule VI, Exhibit "E",
13 not consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are
14 hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
16 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
17 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
18 and effect.
