RESOLUTION NO. 5069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY
RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CiTY ON TUESDAY,
APRIL 10, 1984

7 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in
8 the City of Vernon, California, on April 10, 1984; and
9 WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it
10 is necessary for the City to request services of the County; and
11 WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing this
12 service shall be paid by the City of Vernon.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section
16 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this
17 City Council requests the Board of Supervisors of the County to
18 permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to the
19 City for use in conducting the election to be held on April 10,
20 1984, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered
2] voters of the City on polling place inserts furnished by the City
22 and after bursting the forms to insert the polling place insert
23 and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the
24 City, will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise
25 the City Clerk of the nqmberof pieces to be mailed, prepare
26 PS Form 3602, "Statement of Mailing Matter With Permit Imprints",
27 and advis.e the City Clerk when work is complete so delivery can .
28 be arranged.

SECTION 2: That the City shall reimburse the County for
2 services performed when the work is completed and upon presenta-
3 tion to the City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is directed to forward
5 without delay to the Board of Supervisors and to the Registrar
6 of Voters, each a certified copy of this Resolution.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
9 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
10 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 1983.
