RESOLUTION NO. 5075
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABI,ISHING THE RATES FOR THE SALE
OF WATER IN THE CITY OF VERNON IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ORDINANCE NO. 942
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
7 Ordinance No. 942 on December 20, 1983; and
8 WHEREAS, said Ordinance amended Sections 25.1, 25.2,
9 25.3, 25.5, 25.46, 25.48 and 25.51 of The Code of the City of
10 Vernon, California 1959 to establish that the rates for the sale
11 of water in said City are to be set by resolution; and
12 WHEREAS, Lewis R. Adams, the Director of Water, has
13 recommended by letter dated December 1, 1983, that the rates
14 established for water services be increased to reflect the
15 increased cost of providing said services and that the adjusted
16 rates become effective for the regular billing in February 1984;
17 and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
19 to establish new rates for the sale of water in the City of
20 Vernon in accordance with the recommendation of Lewis R. Adams,
21 Director of Water and Ordinance No. 942.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
26 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 does hereby establish the rates for the sale of water in the
1 City of Vernon pursuant to Sections 25.1, 25.2, 25.3, 25.5,
2 25.46, 25.48 and 25.51 of The Code of the City of Vernon,

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby declares that the applicable rates contained in this

1 Resolution shall be effective for the first regular water
2 reading for monthly billing purposes in the month of February
3 1984.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
5 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
