RESOLUTION NO. 5080
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SECTION 5 OF RESOLUTION NO.
5070 CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING
OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
THE CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1984, FOR THE
ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF THE CITY AS
REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW
CITIES
8 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5070 was adopted by the City
9 Council of the City of Vernon on December 20, 1983; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
11 it necessary to amend Section 5 of Resolution No. 5070'to
12 correct the polling hours set forth therein.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-
17 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That Section 5 of Resolution No. 5070 is
19 hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 5: That the polling place for said
election shall be open at 7:00 a.m. of the day of
the election and shall remain open continuously
from that time until 12 o'clock midnight of the
same day when the poll shall be closed, except
as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
28 5070 shall remain in full force and effect and that the

I provisions in Resolution No. 5070, not consistent with or in
2 conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION. 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
4 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
5 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
6 and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of January, 1984.
