RESOLUTION NO. 5083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COM}1ENDING LAHRENCE JACKSON FOR HIS
Hk"JY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VEHNON
WHEFEAS, LAWRENCE JACKSON has been employed by the
City of Vernon since July 16, 1955; and
m-IEREAS, said LA'iJRENCE JACKSON vJill retire from the
service of the City of Vernon on February 14, 1984; and
WHEREAS, LAWRENCE JACKSON has faithfully served as an
employee for approximately 28 years and has served as a Captain
in the Vernon Fire Department since July 1, 1964, his loss will
be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COlJNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VEF~ON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon takes this opportunity to cot:1IT!end LAHRENCE JACKSON for his
many years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
wishes LAWRENCE JACKSON continued success in whatever endeavors
he may undertake in the future.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to MR. LAWRENCE JACKSON, and that there-
upon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
