RESOLUTION NO. 5089
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ESTABLISHING HEALTH AND PERMIT FEES
APPLICABLE TO ALL PERMITS GRANTED BY THE CITY
OF VERNON PURSUANT TO SECTION 11.25 AND SECTION
13.7 OF THE VERNON CITY CODE AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 4886
7 WHEREAS, the Vernon City Code and, in particular,
8 Section 11.25 and Section 13.7 thereof, provides for the issuance
9 of health permits; and
10 WHEREAS, Section 11.25 and Section 13.8 of the Vernon
11 City Code provides that the City Council of the City of Vernon
12 shall establish, by Resolution, health permit inspection fees
13 for the various types of businesses and vehicles requiring
14 health permits; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
16 Resolution No. 4886 on March 16, 1982, establishing health permit
17 fees in accordance with said Code; and
18 WHEREAS, said fees established by Resolution are
19 hereby determined to be inadequate; and
20 WHEREAS, the C~ty Council of the City of Vernon intends
21 to establish new fees as set forth herein.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
26 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 does hereby establish that the issuance fees and annual renewal

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

14 does hereby establish that the issuance fees, annual renewal
15 fees and late fees for hearth permit inspections granted by
16 the City of Vernon pursuant to Section 11.25 of the Vernon City
17 Code ar~ as follows:

(a) For Wholesale Food Vehicle - $20 per vehicle;
20
(b) There shall be added to and collected with the
21 health permit inspection fee a late fee equal to ten percent
22 (10%) of the fee for all fees that are delinquent for thirty (30)
23 days. For each additional month or fraction thereof in which
24 the delinquency continues an additional ten percent (10%) late
25 fee shall be collected. In no event shall the total late fee
26 charges exceed sixty percent (60%) of the health permit
27 inspection fee.

SECTION 4: That in addition to the foregoing, the
2 licensee or permittee shall pay all other necessary fees or
3 deposits which may be required by other ordinances or resolutions
4 of the City of Vernon or applicable State laws in effect.

SECTIONS: That the fees provided for herein shall be
6 effective April 1, 1984, and that Resolution No. 4886 and all
7 other Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
10 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 1984.
