RESOLUTION NO. 5093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF SULLY-MILLER
CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR SANTA FE AVENUE AND
SOTO STREET RESURFACING IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 463 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
7 WHEREAS, Contract No. 463 of the City of Vernon was
8 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
9 Resolution No. 5090, and sealed bids were opened on March 20,
10 1984; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Victor H. Vaits,
12 Director of Community Services, who has reported to the City
13 Council under the date of April 2, 1984, recommending that the
14 contract

for Santa Fe Avenue and Soto Street Resurfacing be
with Sully-Miller Contracting Company on the basis of
in the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Four
Six Dollars and Forty-Three Cents ($223,406.43), being
18 the lowest responsible bid meeting the contract requirements.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 463, in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services, and
authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the
City.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon

1 the receipt of an executed Contract from Sully-Miller Contracting
2 Company, accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernop shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
