RESOLUTION NO. 5097
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING FEES FOR VARIANCES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7.92-1 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA 1959
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 5086 on February 21, 1984, establishing fees for
building, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating, cooling,
refrigeration and fire prevention permits issued by the City
of Vernon and for special inspections, certificates of occupancy,
temporary use of commercial coaches, conditional use permits and
for review and approval of tentative parcel maps for division of
property; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.92-1 of the Code of the City of
Vernon, California 1959 provides that the City Council of the
City of Vernon shall establish by resolution a processing fee
for variances; and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services, has recommended by memo dated February 14, 1984,
that the City Council of the City of Vernon adopt a resolution
to establish the fee for variances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to establish the fee as set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Whenever an application for a variance or
exception from the requirements of the Uniform Building Code,
Uniform Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and Uniform
Fire Code, or any other ordinance of the City of Vernon relating
to building construction, drainage, street frontage requirements,
health or fire requirements is submitted, a processing fee of
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) shall be paid at the time of
submittal of each application.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby declares that the applicable fee contained in this
Resolution shall be effective on April 6, 1984.
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1984.
