RESOLUTION NO. 5106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR
VERNON DIESEL PLANT TRAINING AND OPERATING
SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND LOU PIEROTTI
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon needs the services of an
experienced and trained diesel engine operator consultant to
assist the Vernon Light and Power System
to train Vernon
employees in the testing, start-up and various operational
functions of the diesel engines and peripheral equipment located
at the Vernon Diesel Plant; and
WHEREAS, Lou Pierotti is familiar with said Vernon
Diesel Plant and has previously served as a consultant to ESI
and Southern California Edison Company in providing services at
the Vernon Diesel Plant pursuant to the Vernon-ESI Operations
Agreement of 1977; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to contract with
Lou Pierotti to assist the Vernon Light and Power System from
time to time in specific consulting assignments as requested by
the City Councilor the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the Cit1 of Vernon
hereby determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the Consulting Agreement for Vernon Diesel Plant
Training and Operating Services between the City of Vernon and

1 Lou Pierotti, a copy of which has been presented to the City
2 Council concurrently with this Resolution, and the City Council
3 hereby orders said Consulting Agreement to be received and filed
4 by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of
6 Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
7 said Consulting Agreement for, and on behalf. of, the City of
8 Vernon.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
10 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
11 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
12 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of May, 1984.
