RESOLUTION NO. 5119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1984-1985
5 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5020 was adopted by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1983; and
7 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 5020 approved a budget
8 for the fiscal year 1983-1984; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
10 to establish a new budget to anticipate the requirements for the
11 fiscal year 1984-1985 for the different departments of the City
12 of Vernon.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
14 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby approves the budget as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
17 hereto and made a part hereof as though fully set forth at
18 length to anticipate the requirements for the fiscal year
19 1984-1985 for the different departments of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the anticipated revenues for the
21 fiscal year 1984-1985 are set forth in Exhibit "B" attached
22 hereto and made a part hereof as though fully set forth at
23 length.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 hereby finds and determines that certain items provided for in
26 individual department budgets are in the nature of community
27 promotion and education, and the City Council of the City of
28 Vernon further finds and determines that the same are in the

1 best interests of the City of Vernon and constitute a
2 reasonable expenditure of public funds.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
4 hereby directed to file this Resolution with the County Auditor
5 of Los Angeles County within sixty (60) days after July l, 1984,
6 as required by Sections 53900 and 5390l of the Government Code
7 of the State of California.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
9 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and
10 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
11 effect.
12 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 1984.
