' t .It ~, RESOLUTION NO. 5120 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES BY REPEALING SECTIONS 4, 5, 6, 8 AND 9 OF SAID RESOLUTION AND SUBSTITUTING THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS AND REPEAIJING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, SPECIFICALLY RESOLUTION NOS. 4954, 4957, 4980, 5018, 5025, 5056 AND 5060 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4918 adopted by the City 24, 1982, as amended by Resolution No. 4954 adopted on Resolution No. 4957 adopted on December 2, employees Resolution NO.- as amended by Resolution Resolution No. 5056 adopted No. 5060 adopted on November 1, 1983, fixed the City Council of the City and contract, the ., "r ," , , , " . t, . t~ City of Vernon are required to make contributions, which are a percentage of the employees' compensation equal to 7% of said compensation for miscellaneous employees and equal to 9% of said compensation for safety employees, to the PERS; and the City Council of the WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends a multi-year compensation plan for the fiscal years 1984-85 and 1985-86 wherein the City will pay a portion of the contribution to PERS for miscellaneous employees, fire employees, Chief of POlice, Police Captains and it is anticipated that inflation for the period 30, 1985, will not increase 5.25% during said period; and a compensation plan which will provide additional 1985-86 for said employees in the level of inflation exceeds 5.25% for said the City Council of the the compensation for certain employees of the of July 1, 1984 and July 1, 1985, and other as indicated in their respective schedules. That Section RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL to read as follows: SECTION 4: That effective ,July l, 1984 and July established and approved the following -2- . l~ ,.
