RESOLUTION NO. 5126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON COMMENDING GURDON W. .WILCOX FOR
HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
4 VERNON
5 WHEREAS, GURDON W. WILCOX has been employed by the City
6 of Vernon since September 17, 1956; and
7 WHEREAS, said GURDON W. WILCOX will retire from the
8 service of the City of'Vernon on August 3, 1984; and
9 WHEREAS, GURDON W. WILCOX has faithfully served as an
10 employee of the Vernon Police Department fo~ approximately 28
11 years and has been a Lieutenant since April 1,1969, and his
12 loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 takes this opportunity to commend GURDON W. WILCOX for his many
17 years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 wishes GURDON W. WILCOX continued success in whatever endeavors
20 he may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
22 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
23 certified copy thereof to LT. GURDON W. WILCOX, and that there-
24 upon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
