RESOLUTION NO. 5127
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PROPERTY FROM THE LIGHT AND POWER DEPARTMENT
AND THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT PURSUANT
TO SECTION 2.31 ,OF THE VERNON CITY CODE
6 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
7 Clerk, by letter dated July 12, 1984, has recommended to the
S City Council that the property from the Light and Power
5) Department more particularly described in Exhibit "A" which is
10 attached hereto and made a part hereof and the property from
11 the Community Services Department more particularly described in
12 Exhibit "B" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof are
13 surplus to the needs of the City of Vernon; and
14 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Purchasing Agent,
15 has recommended that the surplus property more particularly
16 described in the attached Exhibits "A" and "B" be disposed of
17 pursuant to Section 2.31 of the Vernon City Code; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
19 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
20 that the property more particularly described in the attached
21 Exhibits "A" and "B" be sold as surplus pursuant to Section 2.31
22 of the Vernon City Code.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE,IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
24 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That in accordance with Section 37350 of
26 the Government Code of the State of California, the city Council
27 of the City of Vernon hereby finds and determines that the
28 property more particularly described in the attached Exhibits "A"
1 and "B" are surplus to the needs of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Administrator/City Clerk is
3 hereby authorized to obtain bids pursuant to Section 2.31 of the
4 Vernon City Code for the sale of the property described in the
5 attached Exhibits "A" and "B" as surplus property.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
S thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.-
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1984.
