RESOLUTION NO. 5130
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE
4 CITY OF VERNON AND MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS
AND ELECTRONICS, INC. ("MOTOROLA") FOR A POLICE
5 COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
6 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on July 9, 1984,
7 recommended to the City Council that an agreement with Motorola
3 be approved for police radios, communications console and
9 closed circuit te1evisiQn at a quoted price of $250,000.00 which
10 includes installation and taxes in accordance with the
11 recommendation of Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, Director of Finance,
12 dated July 9, 1984; and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Motorola desire to
14 enter into an agreement to establish the terms and conditions
15 necessary to accomplish the establishment of a police
16 communications system.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
20 Vernon hereby determines that the recitals contained her~ina.b()'Ve
21 are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That ~he City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby approves the Agreement by and between the City of Vernon
24 and Motorola for a police communications system, a copy of which
25 has been presented to the City Council concurrently with this
26 Resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement
27 to be received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

1 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
2 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
