RESOLUTION NO. 5137
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF KOREAN
MAINTENANCE COMPANY FOR VERNON CITY HALL
4 JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE 1984-85 FISCAL
YEAR IN ACCORDANCE WITH JANITORIAL CONTRACT
5 NO. 007 AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
CONTRACT

7 WHEREAS, Section 2.27(b) of the Vernon City Code
8 provides that in the event the City Council finds that it is in
9 the public interest and necessity to purchase supplies, services
10 or equipment without compliance with the formal contract
11 procedures set forth in said Section, it may waive such procedureE
12 by so declaring with a separate motion or resolution; and
13 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommended on June 25,
14 1984, that the matter of the Janitorial Services for the City
15 Hall Building for the 1984-85 fiscal year go to an informal
16 bidding process; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon approved
18 the recommendation of the Finance Committee on June 28, 1984; and
19 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommended on August 20,
20 1984, that the City Council accept the bid of Korean Maintenance
21 Company for Janitorial Contract No. 007 for the 1984-85 fiscal
22 year on the basis of its bid of One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-
23 Eight Dollars ($1,998.00) per month.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
25 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
27 hereby award Janitorial Contract No. 007 in accordance with the
28 recommendation of the Finance Committee on August 20, 1984, to

1 Korean Maintenance Company and hereby authorizes the Mayo+ to
2 execute said Contract for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
