RESOLUTION NO. 5147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE VII,EXHIBIT "FI',
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5120, WHICH AMENDED RESOLUTION
NO. 4918 FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN
EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5120 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 28, 1984, to be effective
on July 1, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5120 was previously amended by
Resolution No. 5134, adopted by the City Council of the City of
Vernon on August 28, 1984, and Resolution No. 5139, adopted by
the City Council of the City of Vernon on September 4, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No.
5120 provides for the position and salary scale of City
AdministratorlCity Clerk in the City AdministratorlCity Clerk
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the performance of the City AdministratorlCity Clerk
on his annual review date for the purposes of considering a meri
increase; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
to establish a new salary scale to provide for a merit increase
for the position of City AdministratorlCity Clerk in the City
AdministratorlCity Clerk Department and to provide'for an
increase in life insurance benefits as set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

1 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
2 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective October 28, 1984, Schedule
4 VII, Exhibit "F", of Resolution No. 5120, shall be amended by
5 establishing the following salary scale for the position of
6 City AdministratorlCity Clerk:

City AdministratorlCity Clerk
$7,773.00 per month
SECTION 3: That Schedule VII, Exhibit "F", of
9 Resolution No. 5120, shall be amended to provide for an increase
10 in life insurance benefits for the position of City
11 Administrator/City Clerk as follows:
12 The City AdministratorlCity Clerk shall be provided an in-
13 crease in life insurance to equal the sum of $200,000.00.

SECTION 4: That in all other respects, Resolution No.
15 5120, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5134 and 5139, shall remain
16 in full force and effect and that the provisions in Resolution
17 No. 5120, Resolution No. 5134 and Resolution No. 5139 not con-
18 sistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
19 repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
