RESOLUTION NO. 5174
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING BURNEY SIPE FOR HIS
r.1ANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, BURNEY SIPE has been employed by the
Vernon since October 1, 1956; and
WHEREAS, said BURNEY SIPE will retire from the service
of the City of Vernon on March 27, 1985 ; and
8 WHEREAS, BURNEY SIPE has faithfully
9 of the City of Vernon for approximately 28~ years
10 Engineer in the Vernon Fire Department since July 1,
11 his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
13 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the
15 takes this opportunity to commend BURNEY SIPE for
16 of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
17 SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 wishes BURNEY SIPE continued success in whatever endeavors he may
19 undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to BURNEY SIPE and that thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
