RESOLUTION NO. 5183
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF AN
ECONOMY ENERGY SALES AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES PROVIDING
FOR THE PURCHASE OF NONFIRM ENERGY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 5064 on December 6, 1983, which approved the
execution of an Energy Sales Agreement by and between the City
of Vernon and the State of California Department of Water
Resources providing for the purchase of nonfirm energy from
December 1, 1983 through December 31, 1984, unless extended by
mutual agreement of the parties; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to extend its
option to purchase nonfirm energy through December 31, 1985, or
longer if mutually agreed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained herein-
above are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the Economy Energy Sale Agreement, a copy of
which has been presented to the City Council concurrently with
this resolution and the City Council hereby orders said
Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute
, .
1 said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
